I wish to thank our community for the growing interest and attendance at the events sponsored by the Black Point Mens’ Club. There is so much to do with family and friends plus we all need time to just relax and enjoy Black Point, Niantic and the surrounding land and sea based activities. We are happy to try to add to those options and appreciate your help in making them a reality! This will be the best year yet! Please join us when you can!

Bocce League Begins – Friday, 21Jun24 – 9 AM – Bocce Court
12 Teams will battle it out again this summer season every Friday from 9 AM till Noon. We would like to thank our commissioner – Sherri Weiss, our statistician – Joanne DiResta for countless hours given to get things done. Also, special kudos goes to Tom Kelly for getting our plaques up to date with all previous winners properly recognized.
We are looking for someone to organize a possible weekend or family Bocce Tournament for our community. If you know of anyone interested, please let us know at blackpointmensclub2021@gmail.com.
Pickleball – Every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday 9AM, Tennis Court
This is one of the fastest growing activities in the US. Come join the group and learn the game. Thank you, Tony Parisi, for introducing this sport to our community!
Trivia Night – Saturday, 22Jun24 – POSTPONED
I try the best that I can to keep all activities on schedule, but sometimes life gets in the way! With a great deal of focus on Bocce and the condition of the court, the prep and marketing for this event was not complete. I just ran out of time for proper prep. We have numerous volunteers for other events that do a fantastic job (as Pete & Joanne Diresta have done in the past with the Q & A for this event). We can always use additional help upfront for our events. If you have interest let me know!
This event will be rescheduled for later in the season.
Sailing Races – Every Wednesday Night – 6 PM – Beaches
Every Wednesday Night the NBYC have sailing Races. There were approximately 40 boats racing this Wednesday. Stay on the beach with friends and family and enjoy the competition!
Beach Bash #1 – Saturday 29Jun24 – Club House – 6 PM
Enjoy live Music to start off the summer. Provided by your BOG. Bring chairs, food, drinks and dancing shoes!

Almost forty members joined together to learn about the status of the BP Men’s Club, events and, of course, some pizza and beer. Good times were had as we try to reach 100 members this year!

12 Team were selected for matches starting Friday 21Jun24 9 AM.
Monday 17Jun24 – Bocce Court Refurbishing
After considerable research about resurfacing with new stone, it was decided to try to redo the existing courts which involved digging up the surface stone, releveling and rolling flat. About 15 to 20 members of the community helped make this happen. Here is to a quick level renewed Bocce court!
